Instead of having to add the xaml files by copying them into the test project and having the post build script run, you can add the files from the original source as a link/reference.

This is done by choosing "Add existing item" and then clicking the arrow besides the add button after selecting your file and then select "Add as link".

I did try this approach first but couldn't seem to get it working. It seems the actual xaml files had to be present in the relative path of the test project. While adding links works to compile the project, the navigation features were producing errors for me without having the files physically present in the test project tree. I'm sure this is a temporary setback and will likely be addressed with the final release but for now, this was how I was able to get it working. 7/3/2009 8:08 AM | admin

When an assert fails, it stops the test harness execution and shows the failure in Visual Studio. Is there a way to keep running the tests without breaking into code when an assert fails? (it works fine if you start without debugging but I'd like it to work in debug as well)

I did get the repository pattern working, but not well. Put it on the back burner for now, no unit tests at all.
A few weeks ago, I saw another resource on implementing the Repository pattern in SL4, but haven't had a chance to review it yet (cannot find the post right now, I'll let you know if I stumble on it again). I have moved to SL4, .NET 4.0, & WCF RIA Services. I still feel like I don't have the ideal setup. Fumbling my way through MVVM. All the examples I find online are either simple or complex (using Prism). I feel like my app is being held together with duct tape and bailing wire. It looks as if all these ought to work together to architect an app that is testable and loosely coupled but I haven't found this nirvana yet. Probably lots of holes in my knowledge base that require to be filled in first.
Let me know in the event you get something worked out. I went to a MSFT conference in Nov hoping to get this all worked out but it ended up not helping much. I would like to see a business app (over a single View and a single ViewModel) that has SL4, EF 4.0, WCF RIA Services, MVVM, and Unit Testing all working together in harmony.
I am still working on my app with this objective in mind. If I ever get to some architecture I am happy with, I'll share it. Let me know in the event you work out something on the repository pattern you are happy with. I would like to see it.

How do you integrate a silverlight 3 unit test project with tfs using the tfsbuild project? I would like for our daily build to fail if a test fails. I been searching on how to do this and I haven’t found anything using the unit testing framework found in the nov 09 silverlight toolkit. Can anyone help me out?
